What you’ll do

In this hands-on infrastructure role, you’ll help maintain and enhance our on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring systems are stable, secure and performing at their best.

 You’ll collaborate closely with Service Desk, Cyber Security and Network teams to resolve complex incidents, improve resilience and continuously strengthen our environment.

 You’ll play a key role in safeguarding our platforms, supporting identity and access management, contributing to vulnerability remediation and ensuring backups and disaster recovery processes are robust and tested. You’ll contribute to secure configuration, vulnerability remediation and identity management, helping protect the organisation and the people we serve.

From monitoring system health to supporting disaster recovery testing, your work will directly enable reliable service delivery and support our mission of helping South Australians in need.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

  • Maintaining and monitoring Windows Server, virtualised and cloud (Azure, AWS, M365) environments to ensure reliability and performance
  • Delivering 2nd and 3rd level support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests
  • Supporting patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation and secure configuration practices
  • Supporting identity and access management, MFA and least-privilege access controls
  • Assisting with backup, restore and disaster recovery processes and maintaining clear technical documentation

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Hands-on experience in systems, infrastructure and cloud administration
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Exposure to Azure and/or AWS and virtualisation technologies such as VMware/ESXi
  • Understanding of cyber security principles, patching and vulnerability management
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to work collaboratively in a service-focused environment

We would also love you to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant vendor certifications (Microsoft, Azure, AWS)
  • Experience supporting backup, restore and disaster recovery processes
  • Working knowledge of network fundamentals to assist with troubleshooting
