What you’ll do

This 12-month contract is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact role and lead the uplift of IT asset management across the organisation. You will bring structure, visibility and control to how technology assets are governed, tracked and optimised, helping ensure they deliver value throughout their lifecycle.

With a clear focus on improvement, compliance and operational discipline, you will lead the frameworks, standards and processes that support better decision-making across procurement, deployment, maintenance, reporting and secure disposal. Your work will help create consistency, reduce risk and strengthen the way technology investments are managed.

This role will suit someone who can quickly build credibility, work confidently across stakeholders and deliver practical outcomes in a contract environment where your expertise will make an immediate difference.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

  • Leading the IT asset management strategy, framework, registers, standards and policy uplift
  • Overseeing end-to-end lifecycle activities including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, refresh and disposal
  • Enhancing purchasing, invoice processing, cost allocation and audit readiness for technology-related activity, including managing accounts payable for non-asset IT spend such as vendor invoices for internet links and consulting services
  • Delivering KPI reporting, analysis and actionable insights to support continuous improvement and stronger governance

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in IT asset management across hardware, software, procurement and lifecycle governance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and deliver outcomes in complex or fast-moving environments
  • Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills

We would also love you to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline
  • Experience with IT asset management platforms, reporting tools and large-scale deployments
  • Exposure to internal leasing, cost recovery models, vendor contracts or financial processing
  • Knowledge of ITIL, IAITAM or other relevant best-practice frameworks
