So many lives. So many ways. One you.
50,000 lives and counting.
That’s how many South Australians our people support each year.
As one of the state’s leading not-for-profits, we’re making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we’re growing our reach for the future.
It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?
Join us as a Senior Practitioner, and be part of something bigger.
What you’ll do
Step into a role that is deeply impactful and richly rewarding. We have a rare opportunity to join us on a 12 month maternity leave contract as a Senior Practitioner in our Integrated Family Services Reunification program. You'll champion the reconnection of children with their families through culturally safe, trauma responsive and therapeutic practice. You will be instrumental in guiding a passionate and collaborative team, elevating child centric approaches and amplifying children's voices in how reunification unfolds.
This role offers more than traditional case work, it is a rare chance to lead through mentoring, shape service delivery frameworks, and walk alongside families navigating complex challenges. With your expertise in child protection and culturally empowered practice, you will help drive innovation following a major program review, supporting new and holistic approaches to healing and growth.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
● Ensuring culturally responsive and inclusive service delivery, with a focus on First Nations and CALD families.
● Applying therapeutic, strengths based interventions to promote child safety, wellbeing and reconnection with family.
● Building strong relationships across services and facilitating effective collaborations to wrap care around families.
● Creating and overseeing practical, goal oriented case plans and assessments that support long term reunification.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
● A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood or related Social Sciences, or extensive equivalent experience.
● Strong working knowledge of South Australian child protection legislation, including the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle.
● Proven capability in case management, including collaborative assessment, planning and documentation.
● Compliance with all special conditions, including WWCC, NPC and current driver's licence
