You’ll be an experienced Payroll Officer keen to work as part of a larger team on pay runs, initiatives supporting our continuous improvement and payroll projects.

What can you expect to be doing?
As our Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, enabling them to focus on their essential work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and delivering timely and accurate payroll services in line with business and legislative requirements.
- Working as a team to complete a fortnightly pay run.
- Managing and maintaining the payroll system and operations according to policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Resolving payroll enquiries and discrepancies, including correction pays and escalation when necessary.
- Preparing and calculating payroll-related taxes, work cover calculations, deductions, and other payments.
- Onboarding new starters into payroll, ensuring accurate information and paperwork are received.
- Contributing to the review, update, and testing of payroll processes, guidelines, and systems.
What do you need to bring?
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven proficiency and demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing and assisting with month and year-end tasks.
- High-level data entry and report preparation skills.
- Ability to deliver high-level customer service, including managing payroll enquiries and discrepancies.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail to identify errors and make corrections.
- Capacity to interpret and apply relevant Enterprise Agreements and Industrial Awards.
- Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, Outlook and other payroll packages.
- Adaptable, responsive and enjoy working as part of a team.
