Join us as a Gardening & Maintenance Officer, and be part of something bigger
What you’ll do
Be the friendly face behind the scenes, making our residential aged care environments safe, functional and welcoming. As Gardening & Maintenance Officer, you’ll carry out a range of onsite maintenance and gardening tasks, helping residents feel comfortable, cared for and truly at home.
You’ll also be a trusted go-to for minor repairs, contractor coordination, and site upkeep – all while providing excellent customer service to the people who live and work at our sites.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
● Performing regular gardening and grounds maintenance to a high standard
● Completing minor onsite repairs and supporting the smooth operation of equipment and facilities
● Liaising with contractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time and within budget
● Maintaining accurate records of completed tasks, assets and materials
● Acting as a helpful, professional and approachable presence on site
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
● Sound experience in gardening, groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks
● A current full driver’s licence
● Strong time management and communication skills
● A customer-focused attitude and the ability to work well with older people
● A reasonable level of physical fitness and capability
We would also love you to have:
● A qualification in horticulture or a related trade (desirable)
● Previous experience in aged care or a residential setting
● Confidence using basic computer systems for logging jobs and records
● A flexible attitude and willingness to work at multiple sites when required
