So many lives. So many ways. One you.
50,000 lives and counting.
That’s how many South Australians our people support each year.
As one of the state’s leading not-for-profits, we’re making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we’re growing our reach for the future.
It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?
Join us as a Disability Support Worker and be part of something bigger.
What you’ll do
You’ll support NDIS customers living in supported accommodation and engaging in their local community across the southern suburbs, including Christies Beach and Oaklands Park. This role is about building genuine, respectful relationships and supporting people to live their day in a way that reflects their interests, goals and choices.
You’ll work alongside customers with a wide range of interests from coffee outings and cooking together, to sport, gaming, arts and crafts and community activities. No two days are the same, but each day is grounded in providing safe, reliable and person-centred support that helps people build independence, confidence and connection.
You’ll be part of a supportive team working across a 24/7 roster, including passive sleepovers, delivering consistent, values-based care in both home and community settings.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
- Supporting customers with personal care, medication administration and daily routines
- Assisting customers to build daily living, social and community participation skills
- Supporting customers to attend programs, appointments and community outings
- Preparing meals with customers and supporting household tasks
- Completing basic administration and documenting supports in line with NDIS requirements
What you’ll bring
- A minimum Certificate III in Disability
- Availability to work a 24/7 roster, including passive sleepover shifts (minimum 3 full days availability)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, respectful relationships
- Experience supporting people living with disability and an understanding of the NDIS environment
- A current Australian driver’s licence, minimum P2 license
We would also love you to have:
- Mental health experience
- An interest in community activities such as sport, gaming, cooking or arts and crafts
