What you’ll do
As a Financial Counsellor, you'll provide comprehensive and client-focused financial counselling services to individuals, families, and communities. Working closely with clients, you'll offer education, guidance, and practical support to help them build financial resilience and move towards long-term stability. Your work will empower people with the tools and confidence to take control of their financial wellbeing.
AnglicareSA welcomes individuals currently studying for a Diploma in Financial Counselling to join us as a Financial Capability Worker. We will support your transition to a Financial Counsellor role upon completing your studies.
The position is contracted until 30th June 2026, with flexibility to work either a part-time or full-time capacity.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
● Conducting assessments and implementing tailored interventions that align with best-practice financial counselling standards to achieve meaningful outcomes for clients.
●Delivering case management by gathering and distributing accurate financial materials and resources, and ensuring clients are directed to the appropriate internal and external services.
●Building strong community connections by participating in local forums and collaborating with other service providers to strengthen referral pathways and partnerships .
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
●Demonstrated ability to complete accurate, comprehensive, and high-level case noting.
●Proven ability to work with First Nations communities, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, Newly Arrived and emerging communities.
● Diploma in Financial Counselling or studying towards
