Who are we looking for?

A passionate and committed professional, dedicated to delivering client-centered and individualised supports, particularly in reviewing Behaviour Support Plans and facilitating the authorisation of Restrictive Practices. This role sits across the Disability and Wellbeing Services portfolio, ensuring comprehensive consultation with all key stakeholders has been considered and incorporated into the development of plans.

We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of Behaviour Support Plans, Restrictive Practice, an eye for detail and critical evaluation to ensure we are compliant with expectations of the NDIS Commission and State Authorisers. The successful applicant will be able to provide customer insights, provide constructive feedback and ensure that the customer is central to all decisions made and actions taken.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Reviewing Behaviour Support Plans, reporting on Restrictive Practice and also applying for authorisation of Restrictive Practice.
  • Ensuring consultation occurs with customers when developing Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders within the Disability and Wellbeing team, including Behaviour Support Practitioners (both internal and external to ASA), Service Coordinators, Safety Quality and Risk team and Operations Program Managers.
  • Monitoring progress of Behaviour Support Plans and ensuring training requirements within plan are being met. 
  • Completing weekly and monthly reporting to the NDIS Commission of both authorised and unauthorised Restrictive Practices.

What do you need to bring?

  • Bachelor of Disability & Developmental Education or equivalent extensive experience in the Disability Sector.
  • Strong understanding of Restrictive Practices, legislation, the NDIS Practice Standards and positive Behaviour Support Planning. 
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of behaviour interventions and supports. 
  • Sound report writing skills, ability to read, analyse and interpret data and apply findings to service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in tracking timelines and ensuring targets are met to a high standard.
