So many lives. So many ways. One you.

50,000 lives and counting.

That’s how many South Australians our people support each year.

As one of the state’s leading not-for-profits, we’re making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we’re growing our reach for the future.

It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?

Join us as a Settlement Coach, and be part of something bigger.

What you’ll do

As a Settlement Coach, you will support newly arrived humanitarian entrants and venerable migrants to build the skills, confidence and connections needed to successfully settle into life in Australia. Using a strengths based and client focused approach, you will work alongside individuals and families to identify goals, navigate services, build independence, and strengthen community participation.

You will play an important role in empowering people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD) to access education, employment, health and community services while fostering social inclusion and wellbeing.

This role will also require you to work alongside and support women in situations of domestic and family violence.

This position is based at Playford & may also require travel to our Christies Beach & Hindmarsh site, 0.8FTE, fixed-term contract until 30th June 2027.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

● Developing strengths based case plans that support participants to achieve their settlement goals and build independence.

● Coaching clients to navigate community, government, health and welfare services while strengthening their social, communication and problem solving skills.

● Building strong partnerships with community organisations and stakeholders to create opportunities for engagement, learning and social connection.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

● A tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Youth Work or a related discipline (minimum Certificate IV).

● Demonstrated experience working with CALD communities, including an understanding of the challenges faced by newly arrived migrants and humanitarian entrants.

● Experience in case management and supporting clients using strengths based, client centered approaches.

● Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, community groups and service providers.

We would also love you to have:

● Proficiency in a language other than English.
