Who are we looking for?
Join a dynamic, purpose driven team delivering a balanced and holistic program that supports individuals impacted by family violence and work directly with those who use violence to encourage behavioural change. We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Family Safety and Wellbeing Officer who brings therapeutic insight, group work capability, and a deep commitment to fostering safe and healthy relationships.
The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team of passionate professionals, who genuinely believe in the impact of their work.

What can you expect to be doing?
- Provide individual counselling (up to four sessions daily) for clients affected by or using family violence
- Facilitate men’s behaviour change programs and contribute to program development
- Support and co-facilitate parenting and relationship education sessions
- Working one evening per week (typically Tuesdays or Thursdays) until 9pm with a later start
What do you need to bring?
- Prior experience working within the community providing 1:1 counselling as well as group educational sessions, preferably with domestic violence victims and perpetrators
- Demonstrated ability to develop, promote, deliver and evaluate a wide range of family and relationship activities
- Cultural competence and humility in working with diverse communities
- Comfort and confidence in group based environments, especially working with men
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Services or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience working in the community sector providing a range of family relationship-building activities.
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
