What you’ll do
You'll provide strengths-based case management and outreach support to newly arrived young people (aged 12 - 21) and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You'll help stabilise housing, foster family reconciliation where possible, and support young people to engage with education, employment, training and the community. No two days are the same!
You will use your own vehicle when meeting clients (0.99c KM reimbursed).
This position is .5FTE, on a fixed-term contract until end of June 2026 & is based at Elizabeth.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
● Delivering short-term, culturally responsive case work that prioritises safety, wellbeing, and independence
● Supporting young people and families to navigate settlement challenges and access essential services
● Collaborating with schools, service providers, and families to create wraparound support
● Facilitating group programs that build life skills, confidence, and community connection
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
● Certificate IV in Youth Work or equivalent experience
● Demonstrated experience working with CALD communities and young people
● Strong time management and planning skills
We would also love you to have:
● Knowledge of local services and supports for newly arrived families
● Experience facilitating group work or community programs
