It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?

You will lead financial management across defined portfolios, including management reporting, Board reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, cash planning and audit processes.
Your ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights will support confident decision-making at Executive and Board level.
This role blends technical expertise with strategic influence. You will contribute to business planning, funding sustainability and organisational performance, ensuring services are appropriately resourced in a complex and evolving environment. You will also lead and develop a capable finance team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative and values-driven culture.
You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
- Leading accurate, timely monthly management reporting, Board reporting and regulatory financial reporting.
- Overseeing annual budget processes, including assumptions, cash planning, completeness and accuracy of submissions.
- Providing expert advice on accounting, tax, statutory reporting and compliance matters, including engagement with external advisors.
- Supporting sustainable funding outcomes through financial analysis and tender costing.
- Partnering with senior leaders to provide financial insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team, building capability and supporting performance through change.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- An undergraduate business degree and/or CPA qualification.
- Demonstrated senior experience in financial management, accounting or a similar leadership role, ideally within a complex or compliance-based environment.
- Strong capability across financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, statutory requirements and audit processes.
- Proven ability to analyse financial data and communicate clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders, Executives and Boards.
- Experience leading, coaching and motivating teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
We would also love you to have:
- Experience in a not-for-profit, community services or similarly purpose-led sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect financial performance with broader business outcomes.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation and regulatory environments.
- A collaborative, values-led leadership style that supports innovation, accountability and belonging.
