Purchasing Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and organised Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will help drive operational productivity by securing competitive pricing and ensuring the timely delivery of essential products, services and raw materials.

You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to support production targets and deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct purchasing and expediting of products, services and raw materials
• Maintain a high standard of supplier and internal customer service
• Ensure accurate purchasing data is provided to the accounting team
• Respond to enquiries from project managers, engineers, supervisors and leading hands
• Support procurement initiatives and participate in procurement projects
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to meet production requirements
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure delivery timelines and quality expectations are met

ABOUT YOU

Your strong customer service mindset and ability to add value to the business will be complemented by:

• Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Competency with Microsoft Office applications, as well as ERP/MRP systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Previous experience in a stores or logistics role will be highly regarded
