ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant for a 12-month contract to partner with project leaders in providing effective financial support to project managers within the business.

As an experienced project accountant, you will be focussed on delivering financial support and guidance to operational leaders and have the ability to analyse financial information and provide financial support to business leaders on project performance. In addition, you will have a strong financial and technical base and a demonstrated willingness to perform work assigned.

 WHAT YOU'LL DO:

You will have good communication skills and possess the ability to communicate financial & non-financial data concisely and accurately, additional responsibilities include:

• ensuring integrity and timeliness of project financial data
• financial reporting
• analysis
• forecasting & budgeting
• month end and year end processes

 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

While being an operational focused finance professional, you will have:

• Degree level qualifications
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar position - ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, trade, or service-based business.
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Experience in creating and maintaining reports in Power BI or similar is an advantage.
• Some interstate travel may be required from time to time.
