The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity is now available for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Project Solutions & Engineering team based in Kewdale. This role will contribute to and lead detailed electrical designs in solar hybrid systems, DC critical power, renewable stand-alone power systems, BESS, and other innovative projects. The successful candidate will support and work in the Mining, Telco, and Utility project delivery teams to produce renewable off-grid power and storage systems for a wide number of clients.

What You'll Do:

• Undertake electrical engineering design, through solution/project life cycles from conception to commission stage.
• Complete and support on detailed design deliverables.
• Peer review and approve detailed project electrical designs.
• Provide constructive process improvement inputs into the ongoing operations as part of the engineering team.
• Work collaboratively across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform testing and commissioning in workshop and site environments where required.
• Research, development, drafting, and reviews of electrical systems.
• Ensure transparency of the engineering processes performed and milestones to meet agreed delivery schedules are complied with.

What We're Looking For:

Your willingness to be a team player and provide leadership to projects will be complemented by the following:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Renewable, or Power Systems).
• Advanced knowledge of Electrical Engineering systems designs, preferably renewable power systems and familiarity with applicable codes, standards and acceptable industry practices.
• Experience with live testing and commissioning – protection relay, controls testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work to financial and budgetary constraints, Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
• Experience with generating design scopes, specifications and strong project management fundamentals.
• Well organised with strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and Engineering design software applications.
• Proven experience in delivering complete turnkey design solutions.
