Electrical Project Engineer – Ampcontrol (Ingleburn)

This role is perfect for an engineer who enjoys hands on design, problem solving, project delivery, and seeing their work come to life in real systems.

As part of our production and telecommunications service team, you’ll play a key role in designing, testing, commissioning, and delivering high‑quality electrical solutions that support essential industries.

What You’ll Do

Design & Engineering

  • Develop electrical designs, drawings, BOMs, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 3015, ISO9001 etc.)
  • Provide technical support and identify design improvements
  • Maintain accurate files and documentation

Estimating & Reviews

  • Participate in order reviews, design reviews, and job closure meetings
  • Provide estimating support when required

Testing & Commissioning

  • Conduct quality inspections and functional testing
  • Configure system controllers and verify performance
  • Act as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting and compliance

Project Delivery

  • Attend project meetings and manage contract variations
  • Coordinate materials, labour, subcontractors, and workshop builds
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation
  • Support smooth project delivery from build to commissioning

Product Development & Documentation

  • Contribute to new product development and standardisation initiatives
  • Create and maintain operational manuals and documentation libraries

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
  • Experience designing electrical solutions
  • Problem‑solving capability and mechanical design aptitude
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

Desirable

  • Experience with DC power systems or UPS
  • Background in manufacturing or production environments
  • Microsoft Project skills
