THE OPPORTUNITY:

The expansion of Ampcontrol services in Western Australia supports the new company vision to lead the global energy revolution. Ampcontrol is focused on diversifying and growing the business with a key focus on renewable energy manufacturing and supporting our customers in decarbonisation and mine site electrification.

We are now seeking a qualified Electrician to join our growing Kewdale Workshop team delivering a series of power system builds for a variety of projects across WA. This role will provide you with the opportunity to carry out electrical works for Ampcontrol customers, whilst ensuring their overall satisfaction with our products and services.

This role will require you to:

  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out electrical work as required in the workshop.
  • Make daily decisions to ensure our projects are delivered in accordance with the Scope of Work or Work Instructions.
  • Identify OH&S issues that may pose risk by conducting risk assessments, system audits and site inspections.
  • Liaise with the leadership team to ensure documentation/reporting is processed and any issues impacting the project, customer, delivery schedule or profitability are identified.

ABOUT YOU?

Your sound electrical skills and ability to seek ways of adding value to our services will be complemented with the following:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent.
  • Current WA Electrical Licence.
  • Previous Electrical experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of the application and the use of electrical equipment.
  • Understanding of electrical schematic and wiring diagrams.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical problem solving.
  • Stand-alone power system experience (Advantageous).
  • Experience in diagnostic testing of electrical equipment utilised in utilities and mining and power transmission (Advantageous).
