THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for committed and highly skilled Fabricators to join our Tomago operations Team. You will be hands-on completing the fabrication component of in-house designed and manufactured packages of electrical products engineered to international standards, incorporating individual components to provide total electrical solutions for mining, utilities and heavy industries.
These roles are diverse in many areas of heavy and light manufacturing. Typical duties include the welding and general fabrication on a wide range of sheet metal enclosures using stainless and mild steel, as well as structural welding and fabrication of larger supporting structures, flameproof enclosures, transformer tanks, skids and switchrooms.
You will be pro-active in continuous improvement in the workplace keeping in mind the elimination of waste.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Your willingness to gets hands on in a manufacturing environment will be complemented by the following:
- Fabrication trade qualification (Boilermaker or Sheetmetal Worker)
- Sheetmetal experience in stainless and mild steel (Sheetmetal Worker)
- TIG Welding Experience (Sheetmetal Worker)
- Heavy fabrication experience (Boilermaker)
- Safety as a core value
- A strong team player willing to get your hands dirty
- Forklift, Dogging, certificates – advantageous
