Electrical Project Coordinator

Ampcontrol are seeking a proactive, forward thinking Electrical Project Coordinator to join our growing team.

What you will do:

Due to Ampcontrol’s continued success and growth, we are expanding our team therefore seeking a proactive Electrical Project Coordinator who thrives off being organised and has pronounced planning, scheduling, and estimating skills!

Based in Mackay, this role is a full-time opportunity reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager playing a key role within our Project Delivery Team.

You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of all technical and project related activities, specifically:

• Project execution, planning and coordination of HV electrical switchgear
• Review customer project scope and estimating
• Scheduling
• Coordinate project documentation
• Procurement of estimated materials
• Subcontractor management – paint / heavy manufacturing
• Monitor and control project costs
• Liaise with customers/clients and external companies as required
• Customer updates and reporting
• Coordinate, attend and when required chair project kick off or progress review meetings
• Understanding of design process
• Establish and maintain positive client relations to ensure customer satisfaction and continued forward forecast of repeat work
• Commitment to health and safety and delivering high quality product for the end user

What are we looking for from you?

• Project / contract management experience
• Sound computer skills
• Competent in MS Office applications including Microsoft Project
• Diploma in Project Management (desirable)
• Electrical Trade Certificate (desirable)
• General estimating proficiency (desirable)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Team orientated and focused
• Energetic and positive attitude to problem solving
• Desire to learn and be part of a great team
