ABOUT THE ROLE:

Building on its success in the resources, energy and infrastructure markets, Ampcontrol is expanding significantly and as a result we have an exciting opportunity available for a Finance Business Partner. This opportunity will play a pivotal role in the diversification and growth of our business in leading the global energy revolution.

The Finance Business Partner will collaborate with leaders and various business units, where you will help to solve real business challenges by providing effective financial management solutions.

The primary functions of the role will include;

  • Proactive engagement with business unit leaders and staff to ensure first class service and information.
  • Prepare monthly reports with analysis and explanations.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects for operations.
  • Work with operations to analyse causes of variances and provide an analysis of trends, costs, and other information as requested.
  • Prepare business plans/budgets and regular forecasts of business unit cost and technical components.
  • Understanding business reporting needs and translate it into working management reports and dashboards.
  • Using your knowledge of systems automating and integrating manual spreadsheets and assist in creating standardised reports across finance and the plant.
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly / yearly participant reports.
  • Perform end of month processes in an accurate and timely manner including accruals and journals.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of inventories and production costs including other financial accounting duties.

ABOUT YOU:

You will be an experienced management accountant who is focussed on delivering financial support and guidance to operational leaders. You will have the ability to analysis and accurately present financial information as well as identify opportunities for improvement. You have a strong financial and technical base and a demonstrated willingness to perform work assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications in Accounting (CA, CPA, CIMA)
  • Team player with a keen focus on culture and organisational relationships
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with a proven ability to establish effective internal working relationships with a variety of people at different levels.
  • Must have the ability to concisely communicate financial information to others including non-financial department leaders.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving with the initiative to identify, recommend and implement corrective actions or improvements.
  • Advanced excel and Microsoft Office products.
  • MS Dynamics /Power BI, SAP or TM1 and/or other Reporting software solutions experience.
  • Experience in a heavy industry and/or manufacturing environment is desirable.
