WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES:

This role ensures the safe management and coordination of the day-to-day Production activities of the Androck Rutherford site, specifically being responsible for achieving production schedules, staffing, maintaining plant and equipment, capability development, quality control, manufacture, testing and associated documentation.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Improve the Workplace Health & Safety performance in the Workshops by systematically identifying and removing hazards ensuring a safe working environment and safe work practices
  • Manage and lead the production departments to manufacture & repair products in accordance with national standards and customer requirements.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the workforce targeting safety, quality and efficiency. 
  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of the production departments in conjunction with the Operations Manager.

Review and implement company standards appropriate to the supply, repair and overhaul of equipment and drive synergies across the production processes, including all workshop plant, equipment and infrastructures are well maintained.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Previous experience managing a group of people, especially performance review / management
  • Demonstrated experience in resolving problems – both technical and people management issues
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Competent in the Microsoft Office applications
