As an Electrician based in Perth, you'll become part of our Field Service team, delivering maintenance, testing and commissioning services across a diverse range of equipment supporting the mining, power generation and utilities sectors. Working alongside experienced tradespeople, engineers and project teams, you'll have the opportunity to expand your technical capabilities while contributing to projects that make a real impact for our customers.
The work involves a mixture of standard 38-hour weeks and 2/1 rosters, with all overtime paid at applicable penalty rates.
What You'll Do:
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality electrical services across a range of customer sites and projects, including:
- Carry out maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Complete field service and workshop-based activities in accordance with project scopes and work instructions.
- Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues across a variety of electrical installations and equipment.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, diagrams and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, quality records, reports and timesheets.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and customers to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Support the training and development of apprentices and other team members through on-the-job coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality and operational performance.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication and service delivery.
- Promote and uphold Ampcontrol's commitment to safety, quality and customer excellence at all times.
About You:
We're looking for a safety-focused electrician who enjoys solving technical problems, working collaboratively and delivering exceptional outcomes for customers.
You will ideally bring:
- Current Electrical Licence valid in Western Australia.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualification.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Current LVR/CPR and Working at Heights certification.
- Experience in maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Experience with fault finding, panel wiring and technical problem solving.
- An understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital workplace technologies.
- Experience with DC Telepower Systems will be highly regarded.
