ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Coordinator to join our operation in Ringwood, Victoria as a member of the Ampcontrol Group Health Safety and Environment team. The Quality Coordinator will report to the site HSEQ Business Partner and will continuously improve the Quality systems of the business, while also assisting in achieving Health, Safety and Environment outcomes.
This role ensures that systems and processes are congruous with product specification and strives to support the goal of manufacture within specification first time, every time through accurate and relevant Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
The key responsibilities include:
- Ensure QA processes and QC points effectively and efficiently support all business operations and first time, in specification manufacture, repair, upgrade and overhaul of all products
- Perform random sampling on preliminary and final testing of all products.
- Perform sample review of job packs, ensuring the issuing and signing of repair and overhaul DoC (Declaration of Conformity) are accurate and completed.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product and production issues. Identify and document the root cause of the failure and agreed outcomes.
- Participate in internal audits against annual audit plan for IMS and Ex certification
- Participate in external audits as scheduled alongside the company management representative for IMS and Ex certification
- Assist with the facilitation of improvements and corrective/preventive actions following audits to ensure agreed actions are addressed and improvement is verified
- Manage the calibration process using Syteline (ERP system) to ensure all onsite and off-site calibrated equipment are compliant to site calibration requirements.
- Schedule appointments for external calibration with third party vendors where needed.
- Maintain documentation of the calibration process.
- Liaise with operatives and technical personnel carrying out AS/NZS 3800 overhaul, repairs and upgrades.
- Liaise and engage with production, engineering, and sales personnel to help resolve immediate product failures or quality issues that impact the overhaul schedule.
- Provide feedback to all departments for continuous improvement and waste elimination.
- Review and assess with the identification of related training needs and deficiencies for the business, making recommendation to Management.
- Manage and facilitate employee training and competency record management processes.
- Coordinate safety training for all employees in the organization.
- Assist the business to ensure all employees, supervisors, and management are aware of their health, safety and environment requirements and obligations.
- Lead quality incident investigations.
- Participate in incident investigation (including ICAM) of onsite accidents, injuries, and property damage and assist with the preparation of reports.
- Ensure all systems reasonably minimise injury risk to employees and contractors at site
- Maintain site hazard, risk management strategies and all related reporting. Seek to continuously, reasonably, reduce risk
- Engage with Group HSEQ and promote Group initiatives at Ampcontrol
- Promote waste minimisation and optimise waste stream processes.
ABOUT YOU:
Your willingness to be hands-on and thrive in a specialised and changing environment will be complemented by the following:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Quality or other related fields
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Highly experienced with an ERP system
- Demonstrable aptitude for and experience with Quality Management frameworks (ISO 9001:2015)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience in a certified or regulated manufacturing environment in a quality assurance or production role
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written, presentation)
