We are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team in the Muswellbrook region commencing in early September and running through to December 2027. This role is suited to a hands-on leader with a strong background in large-scale civil works, particularly within infrastructure or energy projects. You will play a key role in supervising site operations, coordinating crews, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead site teams, manage project risks and ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of works in accordance with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all onsite planning, mobilisation, supervision, and coordination of labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, and equipment.
- Oversee bulk earthworks, excavation, and site preparation
- Coordinate large volume concrete pours (foundations, slabs, structures)
- Ensure accurate installation of electrical conduits and underground services
- Monitor and enforce compliance with project specifications and drawings
- Maintain high standards of QA/QC documentation and reporting
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure WHS compliance
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
About You
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor on large-scale projects
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven Civil Supervisor experience on projects valued between $5-20 million
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and site-based coordination.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Strong background in:
- Bulk earthworks
- Heavy machinery and plant coordination
- Large-scale concreting works
- Detailed civil construction
- Electrical conduit installation
- Sound understanding of quality assurance (QA) processes
- Knowledge of site HSE systems and legislative compliance requirements.
- Strong document control and governance capability.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
