Are you an experienced Payroll Officer looking for your next opportunity? Join Ampcontrol's payroll team and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll services for a diverse and growing workforce. 

This is a 8-month fixed-term contract based at our Tomago Head Office, ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service and accuracy. 

What You'll Be Doing 

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll across multiple entities and sites. You will work closely with employees, leaders and key stakeholders to ensure payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with legislative requirements. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Processing payroll accurately and on time 
  • Managing payroll reconciliations, superannuation, payroll tax and PAYG obligations 
  • Maintaining employee payroll records, including salaries, allowances and leave balances 
  • Processing termination payments and other payroll-related transactions 
  • Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving payroll issues 
  • Assisting with payroll audits and year-end reporting requirements 
  • Producing payroll reports and analysing payroll data 
  • Ensuring compliance with employment, taxation and superannuation legislation 
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes and systems 

About You 

To succeed in this role, you will bring: 

  • Demonstrated payroll experience within a medium to large organisation 
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements 
  • Experience working with payroll systems and complex payroll structures 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality 

Relevant qualifications in Payroll Services, Financial Services, Accounts Administration or Business Administration will be highly regarded.
