Ampcontrol is on the hunt for a dynamic Learning & Development Specialist to deliver our first company-wide LMS and redefine how we manage competency and training across our organisation. This is a rare, high-impact, two-year contract role with the scope to shape the future of capability and learning for a leading engineering , manufacturing and field services business.
You will contribute to a sustainable and scalable Ampcontrol that achieves its growth trajectory, whist ensuring our people can perform efficiently, safely with high quality customer delivery.
WHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING:
- You’ll lead the discovery, design, and rollout of the Dayforce LMS, creating a sustainable, scalable competency-based framework for years to come.
- You’ll act as the SME and owner of our current competency landscape, reviewing, recommending, and implementing systematic improvements that strengthen governance, compliance, and workforce capability.
- You’ll deliver digital learning pathways, video-based resources, and evidence-based tools that standardise training, build confidence, and prepare the organisation for audit-ready success.
- You’ll have the opportunity to work across the business, partnering with leaders to unlock workforce insights, map competencies, and forecast future skill needs.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Leading a structured discovery and review of current competency and learning practices to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Developing and deploying a future state competency framework and supporting infrastructure
- Designing, building, testing, and deploying the Dayforce LMS, ensuring it’s scalable, sustainable, and aligned with long-term workforce needs.
- Partnering with business units to collect, cleanse, and structure training and competency data to support system configuration and reporting.
- Developing and delivering training for leaders and employees to ensure adoption, capability uplift, and consistent use of the LMS.
- Creating dashboards and reporting frameworks to track compliance, competency status, and workforce risk.
- Supporting audit readiness and compliance throughout the project lifecycle with accurate records and robust documentation.
- Driving continuous improvement, embedding processes and structures to ensure the LMS and competency systems thrive beyond your contract.
