THE OPPORTUNITY:
As we continue our strategic growth journey, we are seeking a highly experienced Group Manager –Supply Chain and Procurement, to lead and optimise our end-to-end supply chain and procurement functions across the Ampcontrol Group.
Based at our Tomago operations, this is a critical leadership role ensuring operational excellence, risk mitigation, supplier collaboration, and the delivery of sustainable, cost-effective supply solutions, all aligned with our bold vision of powering the global energy revolution.
As the Group Manager – Supply Chain and Procurement, you will:
- Optimise Supply Chains: Lead the SIOP process across the Group. Collaborate across Customer and Operations teams to align demand, production, and inventory strategies.
- Lead Strategic Procurement: Establish best-in-class procurement frameworks and foster strategic supplier partnerships. Drive cost reductions and improve commercial terms through effective negotiations.
- Champion Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks with robust due diligence, policy compliance, and contingency planning.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Operate in a matrix environment to align supply chain and procurement initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Deliver Measurable Value: Realise savings via category management, support for R&D and tender processes, and continual process improvements.
- Advance Sustainability: Lead and embed sustainable supply chain and procurement practices in line with Ampcontrol’s ESG targets.
- Achieve Key Operational Metrics:
- Deliver SIOP outcomes and product line DIFOT targets
- Ensure critical vendor performance and DIFOT improvements
- Collaborate with operational leaders to optimise inventory levels and minimise required working capital.
- Execute against supply chain and procurement business plan targets
- Support Systems and Processes: Partner with IT to enhance ERP and planning tools, ensuring documentation and processes reflect best practices.
ABOUT YOU:
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Proven leadership experience in complex, multi-site or industrial supply chain and procurement roles
- Deep expertise in SIOP, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and inventory optimisation
- Advanced negotiation skills and a track record of establishing high-value supplier partnerships
- Demonstrated capability in driving cost efficiencies, business value, and sustainability initiatives
- Proficiency with ERP systems and planning tools
- Strong analytical skills with a data-led approach to decision-making
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- High levels of resilience, agility, and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
