Ampcontrol is growing its capabilities across critical power, data centres and mission-critical infrastructure, and we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
This role will lead projects from contract award through design, offshore manufacturing, supply, installation, commissioning and final handover.
You will oversee the delivery of complex electrical projects, working closely with engineering teams, offshore manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, clients and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- End-to-end project delivery, including scope, program, cost, quality, risk and safety.
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, variations, procurement and commercial performance.
- Coordinating engineering, design reviews, technical submissions and approvals.
- Managing offshore manufacturing, suppliers, FAT, logistics and equipment delivery.
- Coordinating installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Managing client relationships, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
- Managing project documentation, defects, punch lists and final handover.
- Providing regular project reporting and proactively managing risks and issues.
Projects may include:
- UPS and battery systems
- LV/MV switchboards
- Generators and generator control systems
- EPMS and power monitoring systems
- Protection and control systems
- Data centre and mission-critical electrical infrastructure
- Integrated critical power systems
About You
You will have:
- 5+ years' project management experience or extensive relevant industry experience.
- Experience delivering projects within electrical, heavy manufacturing, construction or infrastructure environments.
- Strong commercial and contract management capability.
- Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from design through to commissioning.
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality and customer delivery.
Experience across critical power, data centres, mining, industrial power or electrical infrastructure will be highly regarded, as will trade, engineering or project management qualification.
