THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking highly skilled Casual Electricians to join our HV Power & Renewables team, based at Tomago. You will be hands on with in-house designed and manufactured packages of electrical and electronic products engineered to international standards, incorporating individual components to provide total electrical solutions for mining, utilities, and heavy industries.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Typical duties include conducting high voltage cable termination repairs, installing and repairing control cabling, testing and fitting accessories for various sizes and types of electrical cables, transformer service work, electrical equipment assembly and maintenance, panel wiring, maintenance, switchboard manufacturing as well as fault-finding and rectification work on electrical switch gear, substations and control systems.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Your strong service-oriented mindset, coupled with proven initiative, will be complemented with the following:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent)
- Electrical Trade Certificate is (essential)
- Prior Cable Tray experience is (desirable)
- High voltage and/or electrical mining machinery experience
- Experience in Panel Wiring/Domestic (essential)
- Able to read Schematics (essential)
- Proven record and demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
