ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Fitter Machinist you will be part of our Capital Mining team based at our Tomago workshop.

We have a modern manufacturing facility that specializes in the design, manufacturing and overhaul of the following but not limited to Ex protected equipment such as flameproof enclosures, transformer manufacture / repair components and prototyping providing engineered solutions for equipment requirements ranging from the intricate to the complex.

Ampcontrol’s capabilities cater for a wide range of applications across the industrial, mining and power utility sectors.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a highly motivated CNC Machinist / operator to join our workshop. You will be working hands on conducting workshop and site overhauls, repairs, machining and servicing to customer specification and standards.

Your willingness to be successful in a workshop environment will be complemented by the following:

  • Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
  • CNC Milling Experience essential
  • CNC programming experience (desirable)
  • Experience in operating / programming Fanuc controlled milling machine’s desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings for manufacture
  • Fitting experience is preferred but not essential
  • A strong team player that can work cohesively across multiple teams
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites
  • Willingness to work afternoon shift
  • Safety as a core value
  • Forklift / dogging license (desirable but no essential)
