Gemini Pinkenba is one of the largest modern accident repair workshops in Queensland, with 33 staff and a team culture that includes everyone. Flexible work hours are available, including 4-day weeks. The team supports one another and enjoys regular BBQs and nights out together, and there are great opportunities to develop your career and progress within the business. The shop is fitted out with modern equipment including pulling racks, Car-O-Liner speed benches, and a fully functional in-house mechanical workshop. The site is conveniently located 5 minutes from the M1 and 12 minutes from Brisbane CBD.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Quality Controller to join our team at Gemini Pinkenba.

Role responsibilities

  • Strive to produce quality of work 
  • Cooperate and coordinate with all staff members 
  • Attend daily Management Production meeting
  • Eliminate the causes for noise and leak complaints following their diagnosis
  • Perform final inspections on all vehicles ensuring all are repaired to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Check all settings and gap dimensions ensuring dimensional accuracy. Check and sign job sheet to ensure all work has been carried out to the highest standard and as per the estimate
  • Carry out road tests, sensor tests where applicable
  • Liaise with the Centre Manager regarding any staff issues/concerns
  • Allocation of bi-products of repairs, new and used to appropriate storage and waste areas
