Inkerman Panels, a well-established and highly respected automotive repair centre in St Kilda, is looking for an experienced and qualified Panel Beater and a motivated Apprentice Spray Painter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Panel Beater

• Assess received parts to ensure accuracy and condition
• Disassemble vehicles in line with job sheet instructions
• Carry out repairs in accordance with OEM repair methods and company standards
• Reassemble vehicles following completion of repairs
• Maintain a high level of care and attention when handling customer vehicles
• Ensure company tools and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe working condition
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures including the use of appropriate PPE

Apprentice Spray Painter

• Assist Spray Painters with vehicle preparation, masking, sanding and priming
• Learn paint mixing and colour matching techniques
• Support the paint team to achieve quality outcomes and production targets
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop trade skills

Panel Beater

• Qualified and experienced Panel Beater (essential)
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• High level of attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment

Apprentice Spray Painter

• Genuine interest in the automotive repair industry
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual and motivated to learn
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
