Centre Manager

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated Floating Centre Manager to join our team across our sites in Heatherton, Mitcham, Hallam, and Knoxfield.

Reporting directly to the Area Manager, you’ll take the lead in managing day-to-day operations, driving team performance, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. This is a permanent, full-time role offering long-term growth, stability, and the chance to be part of the broader AMA Group network.

What You’ll Be Doing

Workshop & Production Management

• Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure repair targets are met and vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition, meeting AMA and Work Provider quality standards.

Quality, Quoting & Vehicle Oversight

• Deliver accurate, comprehensive quotes and manage quality control inspections to ensure all vehicles are repaired to the highest standard.

Customer & Stakeholder Service

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and work providers through prompt, professional, and personable communication.

Financial & Operational Reporting

• Monitor site profitability by managing P&Ls, budgets, job costing, and KPIs. Use company tools to track and enhance site performance.

Team Leadership

• Manage site staffing, ensuring adequate coverage and positive team engagement. Foster strong relationships with work providers and internal teams.

Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)

• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by following WHS systems, policies, and procedures. Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported and addressed promptly.

• Highly motivated and results-driven
• An experienced leader with strong people management skills
• Ideally from an automotive management background (highly regarded but not essential)
