The business has been known for quality and efficiency in Townsville for more than 30 years, and opened their huge new workshop in Garbutt five years ago. The new site is clean and well organised, and conveniently located just off Woolcock St.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic to join the team at Alexander Body Works, Garbutt.

We are seeking a Qualified Mechanic to join and collaborate with our specialist site technicians. This position will see you diagnose and complete repairs.

Permanent position. Monday to Friday.

Role responsibilities

• Diagnose damaged suspension parts and mechanical components
• Dismantle and fit new mechanical and suspension parts.
• Quality control and inspection of vehicles.
• Test driving vehicles to ensure they meet quality repair standards.
• Perform wheel alignments
• Carry out system updates to diagnostic computers and wheel alignment computers when necessary.
• Label parts and store.
• Check new parts are correct and undamaged.
• Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses.
• Clean work bay and workshop areas.

• Experience and training as a qualified Mechanic (essential)
