The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Panel Beater to join the team at Wales, Adelaide!

As an Apprentice Panel Beater, you will work under the guidance of experienced Panel Beaters to learn the skills and techniques required to produce high quality finishes on heavy vehicles.

Role responsibilities

As an Apprentice Panel Beater at Wales, you will learn:

  • Repairing and replacing damaged bodywork on trucks, buses and trailers, using welding and cutting techniques and specialised equipment
  • Disassembling vehicles
  • Labelling parts and storing accordingly
  • Checking new parts are correct and not damaged
  • Reassembling vehicle as per Job Sheet

You will be required to:

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times
  • Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
  • Complete all course theory work by the due date as required
