The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Body Builder to join the team at Wales Bus Repairs.

You'll be part of our dynamic smash repair facility, using your skills to shape and restore heavy vehicle exteriors, contributing to the future of automotive excellence.

Role responsibilities

  • Assess the vehicle’s damage to determine how to perform the repair work in accordance with Job Sheet
  • Fabricate, replicate and repair the bodies of trailers, trucks and fridges to our quality standards
  • Welding repaired vehicle to a high standard
  • Advise the Parts Interpreter of any additional parts required not originally quoted on the estimate
  • Co-ordinate with other team members in the workshop to ensure the workflow is appropriately placed
  • Notify of any product shortages which would restrict production
  • Check the schedule daily to ensure time-frames are met
  • Treat company equipment with the same respect for your own tools

  • Bus body repair experience (Essential)
  • Trade qualified (Essential)
  • Ability to be a team player, with the skills to also work autonomously
  • Communication and decision making skills
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist in the usage and maintenance of tools
