The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the team at Wales Bus Repairs, Smithfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a busy, high-performing workshop where you'll play a key role in driving productivity, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for overseeing the repair process from start to finish, supporting your team, and ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain a safe working environment for all team members
  • Process vehicles upon arrival and manage workflow throughout the repair journey
  • Assist with ordering and receipting parts, paint, and consumables
  • Ensure repairs are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Manage workshop production to achieve productivity targets and customer expectations
  • Support the overall performance and profitability of the site
  • Motivate, coach, and develop your team
  • Maintain high workshop presentation and housekeeping standards

  • Previous experience in a Production Manager or similar role within the collision repair industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
