The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Panel Beater to join the team at Wales Adelaide.

As an Apprentice Panel Beater, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople to learn the skills required to repair and restore damaged heavy vehicles, including trucks and commercial fleets. You will gain hands-on experience using industry-leading tools and equipment while developing a rewarding career in the heavy vehicle repair industry.

Role Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Panel Beater at Wales Adelaide, you will learn:

• How to assess vehicle damage and identify repair requirements
• Removing damaged panels, trims, and components from heavy vehicles
• Repairing dents, damage, and structural components using specialised tools and equipment
• Replacing damaged panels and assisting with panel alignment and fitment
• Using measuring equipment to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications
• Preparing repaired surfaces for refinishing and painting
• Conducting welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks under supervision
• Maintaining workshop tools and equipment in a safe and clean condition
• Following repair processes and quality standards to ensure excellent workmanship
• Adhering to all workplace health and safety procedures and practices
