The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Panel Beater to join the team at Recar, Townsville!

As a Heavy Vehicle Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged bodywork on Heavy Vehicles, using welding and cutting techniques and specialised equipment.

Role responsibilities

  • Removing, repairing and replacing damaged panels, frames, and other components, ensuring the reassembly of vehicle back to the pre accident condition
  • Using various tools and techniques to shape, cut, and weld metal panels
  • Check received parts on arrival
  • Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
  • Ensuring that all work performed meets industry and safety standards
  • Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
  • Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
  • Adhere to our OH&S policy including PPE
