At AMA Group, we believe it’s our responsibility as the largest collision repairer in Australia and New Zealand to train more than our share of industry talent. Our industry-leading Apprentice Program is the largest automotive collision repair apprenticeship program in the Southern Hemisphere, currently supporting 470+ apprentices across Australia and New Zealand.
This role plays a key part in delivering a program that develops the next generation of skilled automotive professionals.
Working alongside the Group Apprenticeship Manager, you will help coordinate the national apprentice program supporting apprentices, managers, and training partners to ensure apprentices thrive, progress and successfully complete their training.

This is not a typical coordination role. You’ll be working on a large national workforce development program that is actively shaping the future capability of an entire industry.
You’ll work with leading industry partners including BASF, 3M, I-CAR and major TAFE providers, while supporting apprentices across Australia and New Zealand as they build meaningful careers.
You’ll also contribute to initiatives that expand industry pathways through school engagement programs, work experience placements and career events, helping attract the next generation of talent into the collision repair industry.
As the Apprentice Program Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in the operational delivery of the program, including:
- Coordinating apprentice training plans and development activities
- Supporting apprentice onboarding, inductions and program milestones
- Liaising with site leaders, apprentices, mentors and training providers
- Managing apprentice program reporting, scorecards and progress tracking
- Coordinating apprentice recruitment campaigns and intake processes
- Supporting career expos, school engagement and work experience programs
- Managing apprentice funding, subsidies and government compliance
- Maintaining program records, documentation and reporting
You’ll be working across a national program that supports hundreds of apprentices, making a real impact on their development and career outcomes.
About you
You’re someone who enjoys coordinating programs, building relationships and helping people succeed.
You might come from HR, training coordination, early careers programs, apprenticeship programs or workforce development, and enjoy working in a role that combines people, operations and program delivery.
You will bring:
- Experience supporting apprenticeship, trainee or early careers programs
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Attention to detail and strong administration capability
- Confidence working across reporting, documentation and program processes
- Experience with government apprentice funding, training providers or education programs will be highly regarded
