Project Officer - Infusion Clinic

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Registered Nurses to lead the establishment and implementation of an Infusion Clinic at Alpine Health.

• 6 months Fixed Term (14.9.26 t0 14.3.27) / Part Time (0.6 EFT)
• Project Role
• Clinical Nurse Specialist (YS9) / $56.62 per hour
• Location Flexible. Can be based in Myrtleford / Mt Beauty / Bright

Role Overview:

This exciting opportunity will suit a motivated individual with demonstrated experience in healthcare project management, change management, and stakeholder engagement. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project from planning through to implementation and operational readiness. They will work closely with senior management and executive leadership, who will provide ongoing support, mentorship, and project governance.

The creation of this clinic aligns with Alpine Health’s corporate plan to improve access to care and potentially the provision of selected cancer treatments closer to home. Types of Infusions, include; Iron, Zoledronic acid, Ocrelizumab and other appropriate infusions, bloods products and transfusion therapies and cancer-related infusions. 

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and managing the project plan, timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinating stakeholder engagement across clinical, operational and executive teams.
• Establishing service models, workflows and operational processes.
• Supporting workforce planning, recruitment and staff onboarding as required.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, accreditation standards and governance requirements.
• Managing project risks, issues and reporting requirements.
• Overseeing procurement, equipment and infrastructure requirements.
• Supporting the development of clinical and operational documentation.
• Facilitating service commencement and transition to ongoing operational management. 

Essential:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects within healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, quality and risk management principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
