Role Overview:
The Environmental Auditor is responsible for inspecting and evaluating cleaning operations to ensure they meet the Cleaning Standards for Victorian Public Hospitals. The role focuses on monitoring compliance with Alpine Health policies, and industry best practices to maintain safe and sanitary environments. The purpose of the role is to ensure that cleaning services are delivered consistently to the Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Infection in Health Care, while identifying hygiene risks and areas requiring improvement. The role supports compliance with health and safety regulations and helps protect public health, safety, and the organisation’s reputation by maintaining high levels of cleanliness. The role operates autonomously and requires regular travel between campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and spot-check inspections of facilities
- Assess cleanliness of high-risk and high-traffic areas
- Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations
- Follow up on corrective actions
- Work autonomously while contributing positively to the Essential Services team
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good reporting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and the willingness to travel between sites
- Basic computer skills
