Electrical Design Drafter

Tired of pumping out drawings no one respects or uses properly?

This role is different.

At Alliance Automation, drafting sits right in the middle of project delivery — not off to the side. You’ll be working directly with engineers on industrial systems that actually get built and commissioned, across water, mining, energy and manufacturing.

No recycling old drawings. No endless markups with no context. Just real work, done properly.

What you’ll be doing

• Producing clear, accurate electrical drawings in AutoCAD
• Working alongside engineers to turn concepts into buildable outputs
• Supporting projects from early design through to delivery
• Managing your work to hit deadlines without sacrificing quality
• Applying Australian Standards properly — not just ticking boxes

What we actually care about

• You can use AutoCAD properly — fast, clean, structured
• You understand how drawings relate to real industrial installations
• Ideally, you come from an electrical trade background (highly regarded)
• You’ve got 3–5+ years of electrical drafting experience, preferably in industrial or project environments
• You take pride in your work — not just “get it out the door”
• You communicate well with engineers and project teams
