Senior Control Systems Engineer

We’re seeking a highly capable Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our growing team, delivering automation projects across a diverse range of industrial control system platforms and technologies.

This role offers the opportunity to take a leading position in delivering complex, technically challenging control system solutions across multiple industries and environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to define requirements and develop clear, executable scopes of work
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of advanced control system solutions
  • Deliver high-quality SCADA/HMI and control system outcomes, including upgrades, expansions, and new installations
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet standards for quality, safety, and timeliness
  • Provide expert technical support and build strong, long-term client relationships
  • Contribute to a culture focused on health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ)

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in control systems engineering within heavy industry or similar environments
  • Strong hands-on experience across SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems (any major vendor platform)
  • Proven capability across control system design, development, and industrial communications
  • Ability to work across a range of technologies and adapt to different client environments
  • Strong client engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • A current Australian driver’s licence

Highly Regarded Experience

  • Experience with platforms such as GE Proficy, Cimplicity, Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, or similar
  • Background in delivering multi-platform or brownfield upgrade projects
  • Experience in programming and commissioning control systems

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • A proactive, safety-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
