The Department

We have a great opportunity for a part time Administrative Support position in Respiratory Medicine at The Alfred. 

The Role

This role supports our busy Lung Function Laboratory.  Duties include:

  • Front reception work, including phones
  • Checking patients in
  • Creating initial appointments from our “Request List”
  • Completing MBS billing
  • PA duties for the Head of the Laboratory
  • Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications and Experience required

Strong organisational and customer service skills and demonstrated computer efficiency are essential, as is the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.  Excellence in written and oral communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail is also required.  Experience working within a medical environment and familiarity with medical terminology will be highly regarded, however, applicants with strong administrative skills from other fields will also be considered.
