The Department
We have a great opportunity for a Research Assistant in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at The Alfred.
The Role
This role will focus on providing research/course support to our Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology Service.
Responsibility include Clinical databases management, management of research registries, research manuscripts for publication, internal audits and reviews, clinical trials (if available), educational conference planning and other projects as required.
Experience and Skills Required
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office: Access, Excel essential and experience with statistical analysis programs (eg SPSS, STATA etc) highly desirable.
- Previous experience with REDCap database management highly desirable.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Able to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Quantitative and qualitative research skills.
- Excellent written skills including report preparation, ability to deliver a designated questionnaire.
- Advanced database management skills
