The Department
The Digital Health Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.
The division encompasses all aspects of:
- Information technology procurement, delivery, security and support.
- Electronic Medical Record design, development and support, including the electronic Timely Quality Care Program
- General applications support
- Data Governance and Security
The Position Summary

Alfred Health is one of the world leaders in its field and is extremely dependent on its information systems to support its daily operations. The organisation is very keen to be innovative and progressive in its application of technology to support the various areas of its business and in particular the patient journey. The infrastructure comprises approximately 9500 workstations, and a WAN, connecting a number of hospitals, remote clinics, and multiple data centres with enterprise servers. The applications range from clinical, service delivery, and administrative to commercial and business.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Recognised Industry Certifications or relevant experience
- Tertiary qualifications and/or MCP qualifications would be highly regarded
- Experience in supporting Windows 10/11, relational databases (e.g. MS Access 2019 (and above) or MS SQL 2016 (and above)
- Good understanding of Windows user profiles, installation and troubleshooting of PCs, Laptops and Printers
- Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocol, and Microsoft Office 2019/365 will be required
- Experience with setting up and the use of desktop accessories such as; iPhone/iPad, Scanners and Wireless Networking would be preferred
