The Department
The Nursing Services Workforce Planning Unit is based at Alfred Health and is involved in strategic planning work within nursing services of the organisation. The Unit is involved in centralised nursing recruitment, supplementary staffing due to an increase in service demand or a short fall in staffing requirements. The service also provides a variety of workforce reports and assists in various workforce strategies across the health service. A number of management and allocation structures support this process.
The Position Summary
The Nursing Workforce Administrator provides administrative support, advice and solutions in relation to the Nurse Bank and Pool operations and centralized nursing recruitment services. They are responsible for the provision of accurate recruitment administration, working within appropriate industrial legislation, liaising with their colleagues in the Nursing Workforce department and in Human Resources. They also work closely with the Nursing Services Workforce Planning Unit leadership team to provide administrative support related to the onboarding, development and engagement of the supplementary staffing of the organisation (Bank and Pool).
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Proven experience to work in a demanding, high volume and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
- Pragmatic and confident in liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders
- High degree of attention to detail and professionalism with the ability to analyse and problem solve
- Excellent computer literacy in MS Office Suite including advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant systems (databases)
