- Full-time - 80 hours per fortnight / ADO. There is potential for flexibility for part time/ job share (Hours are 0830-1715 Monday to Friday. We are not open on public holidays)

About the team
The HIV service also known as The Green Room (TGR) provides care for around 1600 people living with HIV. TGR works from a Public Health model of treatment as prevention. The Green Room provides access to Specialist HIV doctors on an appointment basis. The Service includes specialist HIV nurses who are available to support clients in both an appointment and walk in basis. Social Work and Psychiatry are available in The Green Room by appointment on a fortnightly basis. Our clients are diverse in age, gender, demographics and culture and include a significant proportion of people without Medicare.
A small proportion of our client’s experience mental health disorders, substance misuse, homelessness and exhibit behaviours of concern often related to complex factors.

About the role
The coordinator of TGR is responsible for running the service, delivering HIV care to our clients. Responsibilities include leadership oversight and mentorship of staff, including HR payroll and recruitment with senior support if needed. You will work with the support of TGR medical coordinators and MSHC nursing and medical service managers. The green room team is made up of administration medical nursing allied health and pharmacy staff. Please note, this is a full-time onsite role based in Carlton. The person in the role is supported by a strong governance structure within Melbourne Sexual Health Centre.
About you
- Registration with AHPRA as a Div 1 RN
- Demonstrated experience in advanced HIV and sexual health nursing in both acute and community settings
- Leadership qualities fitting with the values of Alfred Health, ideally with experience in a leadership/coordinator role.
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications in sexual health, public health community health
- Provide valid police check and working with children check
- Accredited nurse immuniser
- Current police and working with children check
