The Department
The Information Development Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.
The Role
Alfred Health, is seeking an experienced, organised and pro-active IT Technical Specialist to join the EMR team. An exciting and varied position that will help support Alfred CIS system – Cerner, exposing the Specialist to a wide and varied role. Responsibilities to include:
- Data extraction, transformation and reporting
- Creating and managing scripts in CCL – Cerner command language
- Developing and managing specialist functions for use in the EMR
- General support roles and interaction with end users
Skills
- Experience with the Cerner Millennium System - Clinical Information System (CIS) and associated tools - preferred
- Excellent aptitude for problem-solving and good analytical skills, self-driven and quick-learning - essential
- Cerner Command Language for Oracle / SQL and other PathNet related programming - essential
- Cerner OS, Linux, Citrix and Windows - preferred
- Cerner Discern Analytics for reporting- preferred
